Private Yoga uses a custom-tailored approach to improving your body awareness and movement skills. In this session we will go through a consultation on what you would like to improve, for example.. increased overall flexibility, greater range of motion for a previously injured area, or maybe you are just curious about how to bring yoga into your life, and aren't comfortable doing this in a public class setting. This practice inevitably leads to a stronger connection between the mind and body, creating a more natural and graceful experience of movement. I will teach useful yoga poses for your unique situation and proper alignment, and help you learn poses for daily stretching.
If you need more calm and peace in your life, and not necessarily the movement, we can focus on pranayama, which is breathing exercises, and meditation. These are incredibly important to calming swirling minds, and combating the demons within. If you need time to slow down, I can help you do it. We are more in control of ourselves than we tend to believe.
Bulk rate is available for several classes. Location to be discussed depending on needs of both instructor and client.
*If you are experiencing hardship, please ask for my income-sliding-scale rates.

Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but didn't want to go to one of those hot super sweaty classes wondering if you won't make it through? Or maybe it's been awhile and you want to revisit and refresh, or just take a slower pace than you have been. That doesn't mean it won't be challenging! These traditional non-heated foundational yoga classes will focus on developing insight of the mind along with alignment of the body. Developed for beginner to intermediate level, this class visits all the topics you want to explore in true yoga... A great physical practice of traditional yoga poses, combined with breathing exercises and mini-meditation to still our ever-flowing minds. I promise you that yoga truly stretches and tones/strengthens the muscles, while bringing a peaceful stillness to your day that is missed in other activities. Therapists are now regularly recommending yoga practice as a way to combat anxiety and depression. Is this what you've been needing?
